Cleaner indoor air in Phoenix

Your AC moves every breath of air in the house. We set it up to catch the dust instead of spreading it.

How we clean up the air

There's no single fix for Valley dust. We look at the filter, the system and the ducts, then suggest only what your house needs.

  1. We look at your filter

A gray, packed filter tells us a lot. We check its rating and size, and whether it fits tight enough that air can't sneak around it.

  2. We check inside the system

Dust on the coil and growth in the drain pan show up here. Monsoon humidity in a cool, dark system is what lets mold and bacteria grow.

  3. We check the ducts for leaks

Gaps in the ducts pull dusty air in from the attic. That air rides straight to your rooms and never touches the filter.

  4. You get the options and the prices

That might be a higher-rated filter, a UV light, sealed ducts or a mix. You see what each one costs and pick what fits.

Signs the air needs work

Dust is part of desert life. Breathing it for weeks after a storm doesn't have to be.

  • Dust is back a day after you clean

If the counters gray up fast, your system may be blowing dust around instead of catching it.

  • Allergies are worse at home

More sneezing and itchy eyes indoors than out can point to fine dust, pollen or pet dander the filter is missing.

  • A musty smell when the AC starts

That smell can mean mold in the system. A UV light fitted inside kills it before the air reaches your rooms.

  • The filter clogs in weeks

If a new filter turns gray fast, dust may be getting in through leaky ducts in the attic.

  • Someone at home has asthma

Fine dust is hardest on people with breathing trouble. A better filter is a simple first step.

What we can add

  • Higher-rated filters sized to your system
  • UV lights fitted inside the system
  • Duct leaks found and sealed
  • A filter schedule that suits your home

How the price works

We check first and tell you what we found. Every option comes with its price, and the quote is what you pay.

A better filter is often the cheapest place to start. If the ducts are leaking, sealing them can do more than any filter, so we'll show you the leaks before you decide.

Questions about Air Quality

Filters are rated on the MERV scale. A basic filter might be a MERV 4. A MERV 11 to 16 filter catches far more fine dust, pollen and pet dander, but your system has to be able to push air through it, so we check that first.

More often than the box says. Dust storms and monsoon season clog filters fast. We'll suggest a schedule based on your home, pets and how much the system runs.

It sits inside your system and kills mold and bacteria that grow in the damp, dark parts. That keeps them out of the air that reaches your rooms.

It can if the system isn't set up for it. That's why we check the system before we fit one, so you get cleaner air without choking the airflow.

Yes. A leak on the return side pulls in attic dust that skips the filter. Sealing the ducts stops that and keeps cool air from leaking out too.

Check your filter the next day and swap it if it's gray. If the house stays dusty for days after a storm, call us and we'll look at the filter, the system and the ducts.

Yes. Ask about the air when you book a tune-up, and we'll check the filter and the inside of the system on the same visit.
